Booby trap! Women suicide bombers to hide bombs in their breast implants

THERE are growing fears among UK airlines that al-Qaida could target flights to and from London with explosives hidden in women's breast implants, experts say.

Explosive specialists have highlighted that airline officials are 'petrified' of the possibility of highly dangerous equipment being undetectable in this fashion.

Heathrow Airport is on high terror alert with airport workers being extra careful and making more security checks than normal as one worker confirmed "there are genuine fears" among employees.

The staff member at Heathrow airport said: "We have been told to pay particular attention to females who may have concealed hidden explosives in their breasts.

“Many professionals are scared of the idea that these internal devices can go undetected through airport security.”

“This is particularly difficult for us to pick up but we are on a very high state of alert.

“It’s led to long queues here at Heathrow – much longer than usual at this time of the year."

The news comes in the wake of reports that Al-Qaida’s chief bomb-maker Ibrahim al-Asir has been able to produce such dangerous and concealed weapons.

Explosives expert Andy Oppenheimer called al-Qaeda's supposed plan raises "great fear" for the future as terrorists may be able to evade airport scanners with internal breast implant bombs.

Another specialist revealed that breast implant bombs could be set off as easy as by injecting another liquid.

The expert added: “Both are very difficult to pick up with current technology and they are petrified al-Qaeda are a step ahead here.

"It’s pretty top secret and potentially very grisly and ghastly.”

The Department of Transport (DofT), along with Heathrow Airport officials, refused to comment on the specific issue but have offered insight into the importance of travel safety.

A spokesman for the DofT said: "The safety of the travelling public is paramount, which is why the UK combines technology, intelligence and other measures to provide one of the strictest aviation security regimes in the world."
