Kanye West faces robbery rap

RAPPER Kanye West may face robbery charges after grappling with a paparazzo and appearing to take his camera off him at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.

The photographer was taken to hospital after the incident.

Celebrity website TMZ reported that police will refer the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office as attempted robbery.

In video footage of the incident, the cameraman is seen peppering rapper West, who recently welcomed his first child with reality star Kim Kardashian, 32, with questions.

“You’re trying to get me in trouble, so I’ll have to pay you, like, $250,000”

“Dude, seriously. I don’t want to fight with you,” the man says when West turns and walks towards him.

“You’re trying to get me in trouble, so I’ll have to pay you, like, $250,000,” West, 36, replies.

He then appears to grab the man and wrestle him to the floor.

An LA Police spokesman said an “investigation is ongoing”.
